Directions to Woodstock, VA for Out-Of-Towners:

From Washington, DC: Take I-66 W towards Front Royal for 75.2 miles. Take I-81 S (exit 1A) and travel for 27 miles to Exit 283, Woodstock (Rt. 42). Allow 1:41 hours.

From NY/NJ: Take 495 W / Long Island Expressway through Manhattan to the Lincoln Tunnel and into NJ. Take the NJ Turnpike (I-95 S) to I-78 W towards Newark Airport. Travel ~135 miles on I-78 W through Allentown to Harrisburg, PA. Take I-81 S towards Harrisburg. Travel 177.7 miles on I-81 to VA Exit 283, Woodstock (Rt. 42). Allow 6:55 hours.

From Dulles Airport: As you exit the airport, take Rt. 28 S (exit 9A) towards US 50/Centreville/Manassas. Go 8.3 miles. Take I-66 W towards Front Royal. Go 52.7 miles. Take I-81 S (exit 1A) and travel for 27 miles to Exit 283, Woodstock (Rt. 42). Allow 1:54 hours.

Comfort Inn: Exit 283, Woodstock. Go 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Rt. 42 / W. Reservoir Road. Go 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Motel Drive. Hotel will be immediately on your right.

Budget Inn: Exit 283, Woodstock. Go 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Rt. 42 / W. Reservoir Road. Go 0.6 miles. Turn right onto Old Valley Pike (Rt. 11). Go 0.6 miles. The hotel will be on your right.

Directions from Woodstock, VA (hotels) to Orkney Springs, VA (wedding site):

Take I-81 South to Exit 273 (Mt. Jackson/Basye). Take a right off the exit onto Mt. Jackson Road (ignore the sign that says to go left for Orkney Springs). Go 1.3 miles. At the T intersection, turn left onto S. Middle Road. Go 1 mile. Turn right onto Orkney Grade/Rt. 263. Travel on Rt. 263 for 10.8 miles. As you enter the town of Orkney Springs, The Virginia House (reception site) will be a few blocks down on your left. It’s a four story building with wrap-around porches.

*Busses will be available to transfer out-of-town guests to/from the wedding, departing the Comfort Inn and Budget Inn at 3:30pm.

Directions to Orkney Springs(wedding site) From Other Points in VA:  

From Leesburg: Take Rt. 7 West for 32.9 miles to Winchester. Take I-81S and travel for 42 miles. Take Exit 273 (Mt. Jackson/Basye). Take a right off the exit onto Mt. Jackson Road (ignore the sign that says to go left for Orkney Springs). Go 1.3 miles. At the T intersection, turn left onto S. Middle Road. Go 1 mile. Turn right onto Orkney Grade/Rt. 263. Travel on Rt. 263 for 10.8 miles. As you enter the town of Orkney Springs, The Virginia House (reception site) will be a few blocks down on your left. From Suffolk/Tidewater: Take 460-W for ~42 miles to Petersburg. Follow signs for I-95 N towards Richmond. Take I-95N for 31.3 miles. Take Exit 79 for I-64 W. Go 99.4 miles. Take Exit 87 for I-81N. Go 47.6 miles. Take Exit 269 / Shenandoah Caverns (Rt. 730). Take an immediate right onto Caverns Road. Go 0.4 miles. Take a left onto Rt. 11/ Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. Go 2.5 miles. Take a left onto Orkney Grade / Rt. 263. Go 12.6 miles. As you enter the town of Orkney Springs, The Virginia House (reception site) will be a few blocks down on your left.  From Richmond/Charlottesville: Take I-64 W toward Staunton. Travel 99.4 miles from Richmond or 32.2 miles from Charlottesville. Take I-81N via Exit 87 toward Staunton/Winchester. Go 47.6 miles. Take Exit 269 / Shenandoah Caverns (Rt. 730). Take an immediate right onto Caverns Road. Go 0.4 miles. Take a left onto Rt. 11/ Lee Jackson Memorial Highway. Go 2.5 miles.
