<p>Physical Manifestations of Invisible Forces:<br />
My graduate thesis project which uses environmental parametrics as input for emergent morphological development.  This project explores the emergence of tectonic systems through the simulation of fluid &amp; thermodynamic forces simulation modeled after seasonal climate data.</p>
<p>This project uses fluid &amp; thermo-dynamic simulation to challenge traditional legal &amp; public boundaries, while informing the development of tectonic architectural systems that exploit stochastic climate change.  By setting up a simulation environment that using annual prevailing wind speed &amp; temperature data within a the confines of the property line and the required building cores as obstacles the natural flow of air speed &amp; temperature creates complex fluid geometry with inherent logics drawn from their behavioral interactions.</p>
<p>By choreographing the stochastic nature of fluid &amp; thermo-dynamic systems within a simple geometric simulation environment complex geometries emerge.  These morphological behaviors give rise to geometric, programmatic &amp; tectonic systems that feed from and respond to the environment in which it lies.  Active mechanical systems expand &amp; contract, open &amp; close, in response to the shifting wind and temperature patterns within a choreographed stochastic mechanical &amp; architectural system response. </p>

<p>Path length analysis algorithm:<br />
Particle motion paths are analylized &#038; sorted<br />
by length into five fiber strand categories<br />
using a grasshopper defintion.  Each fiber<br />
strand category varies in length and thickness<br />
creating an emergent material logic based on<br />
particle velocity.
